Ivanka Trump Talks Sexual Harassment During Speech In Japan

Ivanka Trump is currently in Japan attending the World Assembly of Women where she gave a speech focused on women in the workplace this morning. She relied on her go-to platitudes like “a woman afforded the same opportunities as her male peers and equipped with the education and support she needs to fulfill her unique potential” even while the gender pay gap in her father’s White House has more than tripled.

But it was a line about sexual harassment that is currently lighting up Twitter. To a half-filled room, she said: “All too often, our workplace culture fails to treat women with appropriate respect. This takes many forms, including harassment, which can never be tolerated.”

Like, her brother before her, Ivanka blatantly ignores the at least 16 women who have accused Donald Trump of such behavior.

It’s bang-your-head-against-the-wall frustrating to watch yet another member of this family—let alone a prominent member of our government—act like these women don’t exist or that we haven’t all heard the Access Hollywood tape. But, it seems to be the modus operandi in the Trump family.

Of course, those on Twitter had thoughts.
